Our topic for discussion for the evening: Who/What IS Tom Bombadil? There are many articles about the nature of Tom Bombadil that are accessible through the internet and a lot of discussion has occurred on the nature of this enigmatic character in The Lord of the Rings. Is he one of the Maiar? Is he one of the Valar? Is he something completely different? What are your thoughts?
