VMWare vCloud under the hood, and Apache CloudStack Q&A

Welcome to the inaugural VanCloud meetup, we have two very interesting guests lined up, Even Solberg from VMWare and Kelcey Damage, Apache CloudStack Committer.

First speaker: Even Solberg

Even will be talking about VMware’s vCloud Hybrid Service under the Hood. This session will take us on an architectural whirlwind tour of VMware's new Hybrid Cloud service, giving an insider's perspective on how the service is put together.

Even Solberg is a 3-year VMware Senior Systems Engineer. He recently moved to the Vancouver area from Oslo, Norway where he prior to VMware spent 10 years in Cisco as a systems engineer and product manager.

Second Speaker: Kelcey Damage

Whether you are new to the cloud and need some on-ramping, or an experience cloud user and need some deep-diving, prepare a few questions and bring them to the meetup because Kelcey Damage, core Apache CloudStack contributor will host a “Q&A about the Cloud” session.

Kelcey is an Apache CloudStack Committer, Cloud Infrastructure Systems Architect, and Community Support on CloudStack irc channel, currently providing strategic technical mentorship for international technology and cloud computing startups. He recently completed technical review for Packt Publishings CloudStack book.
