Getting Things Done (GTD® book) and The Art of Stress Free Productivity

Details

We had to change the date of this event and the location as a lot more people are interested in Getting Things Done and The Art of Stress Free Productivity (https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Business-Marketing-Entrepreneur/events/17131116/) than I anticipated, with a total of 50 RSVP's between the two groups. Thus, we are moving the date and location of this event to May 10th, to the YWCA Hotel at 733 Beatty Street.

Because of this location change, I hope you don't mind if I collect $5 for everyone for the cost of the room. Any overage will go to the Vancouver Food Bank.

"It is possible for a person to have an overwhelming number of things to do and still function productively with a clear head and a positive sense of relaxed control." – David Allen

David Allen begins his book, "Getting Things Done" with this bold statement. The systematic approach outlined in its pages, commonly abbreviated as GTD, is practiced all over the world by everyone from artists to engineers. GTD is designed for our fast-paced modern lifestyle and provides structure without constraint to help you get a relaxed and productive state in all areas of your life.

The Getting Things Done approach promotes capturing everything that has your attention into a trusted system- where projects are defined, outcomes are clarified and discrete actions are chosen. Tasks and information are stored in a streamlined way and reviews ensure that nothing slips through the cracks - to produce a "mind like water" – a powerful space that fosters creativity and aliveness.
