Drupal 8 Code Sprint @ The Jibe

The Jibe will be holding an all-day sprint at their offices on Saturday November 16th starting at 9:00am. The address is:

The Jibe
#202 - 311 Water St. Vancouver, BC (Canada)
View on map

This sprint will not have any specific focus, other than people should come to make public contributions to Drupal. Some examples of this could be

Drupal 8 Core patches and patch reviews. Writing docs for core or contributed modules Organizing events Working on presentations Writing or reviewing patches for core or contributed modules Mentoring other developers Anything else that helps make Drupal awesome!

System Setup

Best if you could come with your development system prepared already.  If not we can help with that, though it usually takes 2-3 hours to get everything up to snuff. To work with Drupal 8 code please have a look through of the instructions here:

Also if you want to contribute patches to Drupal 8, have a review of this Git workflow:

Bring your questions and troubles to the sprint!

During the Day

We will start the day at 9:00 am and continue until 5pm (or until the coffee and beer run out). A kitchen with sink, fridge, espresso machine, microwave and stovetop are available for use for the day if you decide you bring your own food, or you can eat at the various restaurants in the area of Gastown (or organize delivery to keep the code flowing). Feel free to bring your own refreshments (coffee, beer, etc) if you want to.

Feel free to leave comments if you have questions. Or contact Drupal super-star sprint leader, RobMC & Joel Pittet.
