Workshop: Avoiding Cloud Computing Planning & Implementation Failure

Details
In this groups inaugural meet-up, which will be facilitated by Nathaniel Payne, Senior Data Architect at Cardinal Path, attendees will collectively build a blue-print or set of templates that will help them and their organizations better understand how to avoid failure during enterprise cloud computing planning & implementation. As many of us know, cloud computing represents a major shift and a challenge for enterprise organizations. That said, many organizations continue to struggle with decision making around scoping, implementing, and maintenance, and make mistakes while actually implementing.
In general, this meeting will seek to explore (and surface) different patterns that have been observed to lead to the failure in a cloud computing implementation, bad practices that even the best organizations adopt, as well as initial solutions. Active participation from attendees is expected! This workshop will be the first in our monthly series which will touch on different enterprise cloud computing issues, and which will likely be rotated to different locations in future. More information on this will be provided at the event! Since this will be a workshop format that will benefit all in attendance, attendance will likely be limited & will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
