First MongoDB Vancouver MUG Meeting!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your support. I am excited to announce that our 1st Vancouver MUG Meetup will take place from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, August 4th. The venue will be at Lighthouse Labs at 300-128 W Hastings St in the heart of Gastown, Vancouver.

So, what to expect at our first meeting?

We would like to use this introductory meeting to get to know the community and open up potential topics of interests and projects for future meetups. If you have used and/or are planning to use MongoDB in any of your projects, big or small, we would LOVE to hear from you!

Lightning talk speakers wanted!

I have spoken to a few members and it seems like there are a few projects people are already working on using MongoDB as their database. We would like to hear from you and please let us know if you would be willing to give a 5-minute lightning talk about your project. All project submissions, big or small, are welcome at this time.

We would also like to use this meeting to set up any goals and gauge interest levels, general logistics, etc.

The meeting will be light and casual. We probably won't dive into anything too technical at this time.
