Olympic Village Photowalk

Details

The Olympic Village on False Creek offers lots of photographic opportunity. There are amazing structures, shapes, textures, good architecture and lots of Macro Photography opportunities. We will meet up at the Salt Company Building in Olympic Village, here is a link to see what the building looks like:

You can get there on public transit (Skytrain to Science World is easy and the Salt Company Building is a short walk from there, Buses run to the area too)

  1. What can I shoot?

Theres is no shortage of subject matter, you can shoot the Skyline of Vancouver from False Creek, you can take some great images of the Science World Building. There are also plenty of opportunities to shoot the architecture of the Olympic Village and the aquatic life on False Creek itself. There are some great bridges, structures and patterns to shoot too, so this will be a fun outing.

  1. How do I get there?

The Skytrain Expo line runs to Science World so you can use that. Depending on where you are coming from there are a number of buses that stop nearby, so check on Google.

  1. How many can go on this photowalk?

This photowalk will be limited to 50 people. If you RSVP, PLEASE make sure that you are going to come.

  1. What do I need to bring?

If you have a tripod, bring it along. Bring a range of lenses if you have them as you might want to do some wide angle shooting and some Telephoto work too, so give yourself some variety. Bring some warm clothes too, gloves, Toque and warm jacket, it might be a little cold as we will be near the water for most of the photowalk.
