Jamie Cheng
Meet Jamie Cheng, the man behind Klei (http://kleientertainment.com/) -- one of the city's most exciting game companies, building beautiful entertainment for PC, mobile, and console systems.
Learn how he started the company on his couch in a basement, released his first independent hit Eets, then turned that into original IP 3rd party development work, eventually snagging a publishing deal with EA and now making critical gems like the recently released Mark of the Ninja. (Metacritic Score: 90)
Hear the indie story of how he built one of the few indie studios to truly crack the console market, delivering games with significant comercial success and critical accolades.
Get Jamie's thoughts on building a studio, the future of Klei, signing a deal with EA for publishing, keeping the soul of his company and products alive WITH that deal, and the state of the video games industry as a whole.
Jamie is an unsung here in the Vancouver game development scene... come find out what makes him tick.
