It's that time again: The Roundtable is on! For those unfamiliar with the Roundtable format it works like this:

Everyone brings a question, demo, or something cool (and WordPress related) they want to either ask, show, or put to the group. All the questions are put into a hat and we draw them at random and discuss them with the group.

Nothing is too simple or too complex, nothing is too basic or advanced, nothing is too silly or profound. Anything and everything (WordPress related) goes and the only censorship will be the omniscient and all-encompassing censoring power of Mor10 (so pretty much anything goes).

You can also submit questions in advance through the question app when you sign up for the meetup.

This event is appropriate for all skill levels so bring your questions and join in on the fun!

A Note on Attendance, from Emily Post

Our Meetup group is a popular one teeming with interesting people discussing interesting topics, and every time we organize a Meetup the waitlist is as numerous as Starbucks locations in Downtown Vancouver. On the date of this particular event there are other lesser events like the continuing brawl-on-ice between people flying the banners of a whale and a duck respectively happening at the same time at Roger's place. Thus you may feel tempted to RSVP 'Yes' even though you plan on spending the night watching grown men run on ice with sticks. If so, let the words of Emily Post (http://www.emilypost.com/social-life/invitations-and-announcements/153-invitation-etiquette-) guide you:

  • Changing a ‘yes’ to a ‘no’ is only acceptable on account of: illness or injury, a death in the family or an unavoidable professional or business conflict. Call your hosts immediately.
  • Canceling because you have a “better” offer is a sure fire way to get dropped from ALL the guest lists.
  • Being a “no show” is unacceptable.
  • Changing a ‘no’ to a ‘yes’ is OK only if it will not upset the hosts’ arrangements.

Gladly Ms. Post is not the host of this event so you do not need to provide "a handwritten response to the host" but we, your humble Vancouver WordPress Meetup Group organizers, would urge you to take the RSVP process as seriously as you would a date with the sports/music/theatre/movie/other star of your choice/dreams.
