Customizing your WordPress site for the iPad

iPads and tablets are the most popular pieces of hardware being used to surf the internet today. Their interactivity is part of their appeal, and iPads and other touch devices are offering users new ways to navigate content through tapping, pinching, and swiping. This presentation will cover some of the basics for adding touch events to enhance your pre-existing websites. Take website navigation beyond just “point and click” and customize the user experience in a way that better utilizes the iPad’s touch interface. We will discuss plugins and what touch functionality they offer. There will also be a walkthrough of how to use a JavaScript library to add swipe events to a WordPress site for post navigation.

Prerequisites
This is for WordPress developers who want to know more about making WordPress sites tablet-friendly and aren’t afraid of a little JavaScript. If you’ve ever installed a JavaScript slider you will have no trouble with this.
