How to kickstart your first around the world trip! (Meet & Greet sesson!)

Hello Everyone!! Welcome to the first Vancouver World Travellers meeting!

My name is Patty, I am the owner at NomadicPatty.com. I have done couple presentations on how I travelled the world over a year, and I feel like I need to make more friends with the same mindset, so I started this "Vancouver World Travellers" group.

I have booked the community stage room at Vancity Metrotown at 5064 Kingsway, Burnaby.

I will kick start the meeting by sharing my experience on how I quit my full time job and travelled solo for 18 months and never looked back.

This session should cover:

1. Saving and financing your trip

2. What to pack and what to aware

3. How to save cost during the trip including accommodation, transportation and food

4. The differences between vacation short term travel vs. long term travel

5. Meet other travellers! (they are your greatest resources!!)

If you are consider taking a long term travel, or planning to travel for a extended period of time, or simply you are just curious how to travel. This is a good session for you to come and meet fellow RTW (Round-The-World) travellers, learn the tips and trick on how you can kickstart your trip.

And for those who are also RTW travellers, feel free to pm me to let me know if you have something to share. This is fairly, casual meet up. I will slowly put on some more activities later!
