Welcome to VegRehoboth!  VegRehoboth is a non-profit social and outreach organization that promotes healthy, sustainable, and compassionate eating!  We're not just for vegetarians and vegans -  we welcome Everyone, and are veg-friendly to all - including those just curious!-  We're based in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and the surrounding areas, including Bethany Beach, Dewey Beach, Lewes, Milton and Georgetown.

VegRehoboth hosts events year-round, including informal get-togethers at new or favorite restaurants. We hold regular monthly Happy Hours, and 'Meatless Monday Munch" lunches. We share friendship and conversation, meet new friends, and enjoy great food!  We also share recipes and Vegetarian Starter Kits.

Our annual featured events are Rehoboth Beach VegFest in the summer, and Thanks-Living in November.

We welcome All: vegetarians and vegans, part-time vegetarians, flexitarians, and meat-eaters who want to cut back on meat and learn about healthier new ways of eating.  Veg eating is better for your health, for the animals, and for the planet.

We are big supporters of the popular Meatless Monday movement, a global campaign initiated by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in which people pledge to cut out meat one day a week.  Eliminating meat just one day a week cuts saturated fat and reduces the risk of obesity, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, and cancer. Going meatless one day a week can also decrease our carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel.

The Meatless Monday movement is sweeping the country, as individuals, businesses, hospitals, chefs, colleges, and entire school districts are joining in. Meatless Monday provides the information and recipes you need to get each week off to a healthy start. Find out more at www.MeatlessMonday.com.

For great information  on transition to plant-based eating, check out www.ChooseVeg.com.  It's got great suggestions and helpful tips to get you started!

Thank you for being a part of VegRehoboth!  I am reaching out to touch base about volunteer opportunities and to let you know we will be changing how we post events in our community and beyond.

---  MEET UPs and FYI's ----

We are going to change how we announce events to indicate whether they are a "Meet Up"  (ie: Happy Hour) or an "FYI" (ie: Farmers' Market).

For MEET UPs, please be sure to RSVP and change your RSVP if your plans change.  We depend on them to plan accordingly!

FYI's are intended to let you know about events that are veg friendly within our community and beyond.  RSVP's to FYI's are not necessary, but may be of interest to each other if you would like to know if anyone else will be there.

--- VOLUNTEER Opportunities ---

One of our goals at VegRehoboth is to continue to grow and meet the needs and interests of everyone we can in our community.....

from younger to older......

from those "leaning in" to plant-based living to the chefs extraordinaire.....

from those who can do lunch to those who can do happy hours....

from those who love to read to those who prefer to watch a film.....

If you have any ideas or talents to share, we would love to hear from you!

Can you help coordinate the Veg Book Club?

Can you help coordinate What's Cooking?

Can you help with organizing our 4th ThanksLIVING Dinner?

Can you help table at fairs or the Farmers' Market?

If any of the above sounds good to you, please let me know!

VegRehoboth is all about healthy, humane, and sustainable eating,  and having fun while you're doing it! ~We hope you'll join us

We can be reached via email or by calling 302-604-4316.  If you send an email, please allow 48 hours for a response.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon~
