Join us for a presentation and vibrant discussion with the magnetic Charlotte Cressey! Charlotte is an animal rights activist and educator, certified yoga and meditation instructor, feminist, lover of life, and enthusiast for the many benefits of a vegan lifestyle. She helps people create positive transformation in their lives so they can feel better and become fully activated individuals who are part of the positive planetary shift happening right now.
She believes in the revolutionary power of love and she challenges the notion that the world is cruel. Her approach to social justice is grounded in uprooting the source cause of cruelty perpetrated against animals, women, and other oppressed groups - the dominator paradigm. She views veganism and treating all animals with respect as part of a larger goal to create a peaceful world for humans, animals, and the Earth.

ABOUT the PRESENTATION:
The dominator paradigm originated from using animals for food. Animals became property and soon after so did women. In order to shift our culture that treats women as objects, we have to treat animals as autonomous beings worthy of making their own choices as well. Learn how women and other-than-human animals are treated as consumable objects within patriarchy and what you can do about it. Consuming animal products is the most heavily ingrained practice of institutionalized violence. The use of animals is the foundation for all forms of oppression. The use of animals for food and other products creates a disconnect from our innate love and compassion. And, this seeps into all other areas of our lives. Eating animals is the first time we learn as children that 'might makes right.' Learn why leaving animals out of the feminist discussion is problematic. And, find out how including animals in social justice discussions greatly enhances our ability to create positive change in the world.
Learn about the real power each individual has to manifest a revolution of love and create a peaceful world for all beings. Healing our relationship to other-than-human animals can heal your body and the planet. Shifting the way we look at animals has radical potential to shift the way we relate with ourselves and with other humans.
The future is bright, if we take appropriate action today! Please join us.
