This group is for people who want to learn more about cooking and baking with vegan ingredients. This is not really intended for professional chefs (but please feel free to join if you'd like and teach the rest of us!), just ordinary people who love to cook and bake and would like to help the environment at the same time! We will travel around the various farmers markets (in the Summer months), and get a feel for the locally grown ingredients available around us. We will also try to find places where we can bake and/or cook as a community, but this may prove difficult. We'll have to keep a watchful eye, and ask around to find a place to help us out - a community kitchen would be perfect, if you know of one!

 

We'll attend cooking classes, learn about Vegan events in the area, go to movies, and eat out at Vegan restaurants. We can also eat at non-vegan restaurants that offer Vegan options, and by spending our money on the vegan menu, we're doing something to promote more awareness. We can also feature restaurants that have vegan entrees.
