Thursday Sunset - North Loop To Rain Tree

Some of us will hike North Loop Trail just to the top of the switchbacks.

2.5 miles 1,500 ft elevation gain to the Rain Tree!

All trail.

This is an up and back hike so you can hike at your own speed! You need to turn around by 7:45 wherever you are to get back at the cars! We have to beat the sun! You can't get lost on this hike if you just stay on the trail!

Trailhead: Highway 157 (Kyle Canyon) west for 17.1 miles to Highway 158 (Deer Creek Road). right 4.8 miles to the second turnout past Hilltop Campground. http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/7/5/f/event_38978751.jpeg

Temperature: could be 30 degrees cooler than in the valley. It WILL BE COLD at the tailgate party after the hike

Meeting at 5:45pm to organize carpools.

Leaving BEFORE 5:55pm!

On the trail by 6:45pm

Please give to your carpool driver! 30 miles each way!

We will NOT be out of the woods by dark.
