What is the most difficult hike you have ever done?

I hiked in the backcountry of Wrangell St. Elias near McCarthy in Alaska. I don't know if it was the most strenuous - but it was the most adventurous, beautiful, mentally challenging, and intense experience of my life.

How did you get started hiking, or what has gotten you back in to it?

My mom raised our family in the outdoors, and I grew up on the banks of a river in Utah. It was just part of my life. Playtime was outside in my backyard, skipping rocks, riding the cable car across the river, hiking up canyons... just exploring.

Where is the most scenic place you've ever hiked or camped?

Alaska. Hands down. Close second would be Zion National Park, and Havasupai in the Grand Canyon. Although Sequoia was stunning. Looking to do some longer thru-hikes someday.

Where would you most like the group to go on an outing?

Anywhere outside. Cooler elevations in the summer.

Why are you joining VegasHikers?

For networking and to meet new peeps.
