Mid-Week Motivator

We'll decide where to go when we meet. This will be held every Wednesday as long as there is any interest and the weather isn't too horrible. I'll send out an email by 10 am of the ride day if there is any change of plans. Count on at least 2 hours, perhaps as many as 4 or 5 in the summer, again depending on the weather and how we feel.

CHANGE TO PROCEDURES! Victoria Cycling Adventures Club (VCAC) has been created as an umbrella society for this meetup group in order that we be able to provide you with ride insurance. You are covered by this insurance on your first ride with us, but for subsequent rides, you must join the VCAC. The annual fee is $5, payable at your next ride. Visit the new VCAC website to find out all about it and to become a member: VCAC.net.

Before attending a ride with Victoria Cycling Adventures please complete the general Cycling Safety Quiz and the Meetup Procedures Quiz.

By attending this ride, I declare that I have read, understood and agree to the contents of Victoria Cycling Adventures Waiver. If this is your first ride with us, please print, sign and bring with you a copy of the Waiver.

If you are receiving too many emails from meetup.com, mouse over "My Profile", upper right and select "Email and Notifications". Uncheck the checkboxes. We recommend you continue to receive:

a new Meetup is announced
changes to a Meetup I'm going to

and both Organizer Broadcasts

If you have any comments about this or any other rides, you may send us a comment anonymously. Constructive criticism is welcomed.

In case of bad weather, we will reschedule this ride and substitute an Embrace The Rain Ride in its place. Hey - we live in a rain forest, its gonna rain! Let's learn to enjoy it. This will be a short ride in town with a stop to warm up and dry out.

Great as always! Saw a redwing blackbird, a black rabbit, went down some trails I had never seen and looked at bogs, bottoms and flats with some friendly people! Thanks Simon!

There is a saying that goes along the lines of: a camel is a horse designed by a committee. There are some rare times when a committee can design a thing of beauuuty. Today's ride was a beauuuty!!! We got to check out the new Craigflower Bridge, rode Prospect Lake Rd. from Burnside West to West Saanich and the "piece de resistance" so to speak was a climb up to the Dominion Observatory. A sincere thanks to Brent for this suggestion. The view from the top was worth the climb. The descent was reminiscent of the Stelvio from the Giro d'Italia!

Thanks Sam - and everyone - for the great ride today. I finally made it up to the observatory after living in Victoria since 1991! Magnificent view...

Hello, new to the group and hope to make one of these soon, which of your riding categories does it fall into speed wise?

If there is a call for it, we'll split into a faster and a slower group.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
