What is a #twamper? It's a Christmas hamper provided by Victoria tweeps (twitterers).
@JanineAnnT (Janine Theobold) had the idea in 2010 and we were able to provide hampers for two families.

Thank you all for your interest and requests for this year's Twamper drive! It's on :) We are going to provide a Holiday Hamper for a grandmother & her two teenaged granddaughters who have recently moved and have asked for very little! I had to keep pestering to ask for a more lengthy wish list. The hope is to provide a lovely delivery of some gifts - the fixings for a Christmas Dinner and to stock up the panty. Gift certificates for groceries, movies or teen stores would be most welcomed!
The kind community-minded folk at Cabin 12 have offered to let us enjoy their cozy space for a wrap party, a time to get together in real life and share some of the holiday joy. Below is some information about the family and their wish list.

Wish List:
Granddaughter age 16, wears junior size 9, she likes the colour red - likes ‘Japanese Doll Style’, quite popular now in Japan for clothes and other things.
Granddaughter age 14, and wears size 9/10. She likes green and more tom boyish, she likes big T-shirts, plain or with pretty images.
Both teens love Michael Jackson and are interested in his new release. They also like the band ‘Queen’ and have asked for the new Adam Lambert CD. Grandma likes ABBA and Roy Orbison.
For the household they need an the electric broom/vacuum and a corn broom for the patio outside.Also a large teflon pan for pancakes. They like coffee, chocolate & nuts.
For all of them their number one wish is for skates so they can skate on the outdoor rink that will be put up downtown: Grandma size 9, and both teens size 10. I thought I would try to see if a rental place would set them up a bit earlier than Christmas so they can enjoy the rink.
