Worldwide Meteor Day – Vilnius

METEOR DAY

The entire international Meteor community is hosting simultaneous meetups on November 6, open to anyone who is curious to know more about the Meteor platform. — meteorday.com (http://meteorday.com/)

...only that it's Thu and there are already two other events scheduled for that day in VLN. Hence we're having our Meteorday Hackathon on Saturday Nov 8th.

HACKATHON

We had a short introduction to Meteor (https://www.meteor.com/) at meetup #12 (https://www.meetup.com/Vilnius-js/events/211948932/) (kudos to Tomas!)

While that was great, it showed that Meteor is a big peace of cake to understand at once — would be great to have time to learn it in depth a bit more.

Let's play with MeteorJS together to learn and for fun!

We can think of some simple app to build together or just research different sides of the framework (discussion at comments!). We'll have a couple of "mentors" who have some previous experience from Meteor (Mikael, Justas, Tomas, You?).

LOCATION

Wix office in Vilnius. Details to follow.

TIME

Join us during any time (perhaps write a comment?), join for all the day or just for the evening. It really doesn't matter, there will be someone always there.

BEER & FOOD

Feel free to bring drinks/snacks. We'll go eat outside at some point.
