Vilnius.js Meetup #15

Gil Tayar from WIX.com will give the first talk "From Callback Hell to Async Heaven - Promises":

A Node.js talk about current and future strategies of dealing with async code. We'll move from the standard callback, to promises, and from there to es6 generators that yield promises and finally to the es7 async/await. The progression will be a buildup, where each step is explained in terms of the previous step.

Matas Seimys from VTEX will give the second talk. It is work in progress, but the topic is file uploads, how they are done in different frameworks, what HTML hacks and HTML5 APIs can be used and what are related use cases, e.g. drag&drop from OS.

Another slot (15-30 min) may be available to anyone to talk or raise a question for discussion. Please suggest in comments below. Don't hesitate if you think your issue is not deep enough or you are not experienced enough, because there many standard issues which can be solved in different ways and asking/sharing your own way benefits Vilnius.js community.
