DCVR Meetup #5 Tactical Haptics, Paracosm & Demos

Details
We’ve got two amazing guests joining us for this Meetup! The first is William Provancher of Tactical Haptics. They’re making the Reactive Grip motion controller, “a new form of touch feedback that can be built into a motion controller to enhance haptic interactions in VR“.
It’s no secret that the biggest thing missing from VR right now is an awesome input solution. Oculus looks like they’re close to making a consumer ready HMD with the Crescent Bay prototype, but everyone is still looking for the right way to interact with VR. The Reactive Grip looks like an awesome step as we move towards finding a good way to interact with VR. Check out this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=610iTKlYBVM) of the controller in action. Looks awesome!
The second guest is Effie Rodriguez of Paracosm. Paracosm is on a mission to 3D-ify the world and blur the lines between human and machine perception. They use RBGD sensors to capture real world environments and transform them into 3D models. Their Spacial Intelligence Platform enables machines to understand and navigate the physical world and aids in the creation of immersive virtual and augmented reality experiences.
Afterwards, we'll have more exciting VR demo's shown off by the DCVR community.
We’re really excited for everyone to come out and hear from William. You won’t want to miss this one!
