This group is dedicated to forming a community of fun sailors, yachts(persons), boaters and water-lovers who will connect to enjoy hanging out and boating (motor or sail) along the New England Coast, with a geographical center of Portsmouth New Hampshire. It may include boats as far south as Cape Cod or north into Maine. We will be comprised partially of boat owners (or those who want to become one) who need others to help run and enjoy their vessel. It's no fun (and not very safe) boating alone, and some owners could use a ready group of willing crew. We will also welcome those who have or would like to learn about motorcruising, sailing, fishing, eating, drinking, dancing, singing salty ditties and otherwise having a good time on and around boats and the ocean. There are lots of people who either can't afford, or don't want their own boat, but who love the excitement and romance of boating and want to enjoy it with other friendly people. Law of the Sea: Boats are not democracies. The captains will set the rules and the plan on their own boats. That may mean a more relaxed vibe on some, and a more disiplined, safety oriented approach on others. So be it. If you're a passenger, you'll need to go with the flow and be prepared to contribute your help, resources, and skills as appropriate. Whether that's helping land at a dock, setting a spinnaker, bringing and serving wine or grilling marinated chicken wings. The owners have invested a lot to be able to offer their boats for the group's enjoyment. Passengers should join in with a desire to contribute something, for the benefit of enjoying the seacoast in a fun and exciting way. We will organize events to meet, hang out, cruise around the seacoast, out to the isles of shoals, kayak, cruise to the beaches, swim, maybe dive, party responsibly, grill, go dancing in-town, stay overnight on the boats, and enjoy everything the seacoast has to offer with fun outgoing people. This ought to keep us busy for the summer! We might plan a multi-boat summer trip up the coast of New England or down to the Cape, with several stops along the way. Look for our first events in late May or Early June. Get ready for your sea-side adventure...
