Dear Data Artists:

We are going to have our first formal meetup. So exciting!!!

Eric Rodenbeck, CEO of Stamen Design, is coming to give us a talk about the application of data visualization and design in the industry.

Eric is Stamen's founder and creative director. He has been working in and on and around interactive design since 1997, working to extend the boundaries of online media and live information visualization. As an artist and designer, his work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Eric founded Stamen Design in 2001 and has established a great reputation for its expertise in creating compelling interactive design and data visualization projects.

7:00PM-7:30PM: Social Time

This is our first meetup. Come early and meet other members! We also send invitation to Stanford students, mostly from CS who enrolled in the course Data Visualization and Computer Human Interaction.

7:30PM-7:40PM: Introduction to our meetup Group

I will spend a few minutes to introduce our meetup group. Why I start this meetup group and how we are going to develop in future. For the future, we do not have a clear picture. I would really appreciate if you can tell me your thoughts, suggestions and ideas about our future development and send to us in advance so that we can share with every member on that day. .
