New Meetup: 5th Annual "RAW & LIVING SPIRIT RETREAT" for 2010

From: Cru

Announcing a new Meetup for Viva La Vegan PORTLAND - Metro!

What: 5th Annual "RAW & LIVING SPIRIT RETREAT" for 2010

When: Thursday, August 26,[masked]:00 AM
Where: Camp Adams, 18499 S. Highway 211, Molalla, OR 97038

This is the event that changed my life last year as I went pretty much 100% raw that week which led to amazing and wonderful health (& life) changes.

This year the retreat features as guest chefs my best friend Shanti Moon (W?t W?t!) who will be doing her famous yummy sandwiches (best one I ever had, raw or otherwise) with the rave-worthy almond mayo, and a soup for Thursday's opening lunch, as well as some of the other members of this group, Andy Williams (scheduled for Thursday's dinner), Tashi Rani (of Field of Greens), and Agnieszka Zoltowski (of the New Leaf Food Cart, Catering and CSA) among many others including Richard Helmsley, Ronnie & Minh, Gabrielle Chavez and more.

Among the presenters will be Viva La Vegan members Nicole Asprocolas and William Milmoe.

There's also a raw cracker/chip contest so now's the time to start thinking about perfecting those recipes.

More info as it becomes available...

Announcing 2010?s Raw and Living Spirit Retreat, Alive in Grace!

Registration is now open!

Come for the entire long weekend or just for a day.

Feed your body and spirit at the 5th Annual Raw and Living Spirit Retreat August 26-29, in the beautiful woods of Camp Adams in Molalla, Oregon. Experience a spiritually focused raw retreat that especially supports people who are raw-curious or new to the living food lifestyle. We enjoy the best gourmet raw vegan meals where participants, chefs, and presenters sit together at the table. New this year is a ?green smoothie track? for those who prefer simpler nourishment.

The 2010 theme, ?Alive in Grace,? is inspired by the Compass of Grace, a universal spiritual practice that allows you to embody heaven on earth whenever you choose. The workshops will share many tools for healing, creative expression, and personal growth, as well as the benefits and preparation of raw food.

Featuring extraordinary teachers, a nurturing spiritual community, the finest food on the planet, and your choice of camping or dormitory-style lodging in a lovely wooded setting just 30 miles from Portland, Oregon, time at the Raw & Living Spirit Retreat is a true retreat for the body, mind, and spirit. With room for just two hundred people each year to best foster this life-changing experience, join others for 2010, ?Alive in Grace.? It won?t be the same without you, and you won?t be the same when you leave!

The Raw & Living Spirit Retreat website is still being updated to include updated information about the 2010 retreat. Please keep posted for further changes!
