About us
This group seeks to bring together those interested in or currently living a compassionate vegan lifestyle for enjoyment and activities. Being Vegan is a journey in life and no two people travel it the same. So why not join and get to know a great group of people who are walking the same path. Lighthouse Sanctuary Work Party
Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary, 36831 Richardson Gap Rd, Scio, OR, USJoin us at our next work party and every 2nd Sunday of each month! We will bask in the animals’ presence, get dirty cleaning the barn/other maintenance projects, and connect with each other.
- Bring: Water and a snack (the animals love fresh produce, too!)
- Wear: Boots to handle mud, clothing/hat/sunglasses for the weather, and a mask for the dust
- Avian Influenza: If you have contact with birds, disinfect your shoes and clothes before and after the visit with bleach or something stronger to keep everyone safe.
- Carpooling: It would be ideal to share the cost of gas and limit our carbon footprint. Sign up to offer or request a ride.

Pro-Animal Oregon Postcard Pizza Party
Boxcar Pizza, 2701 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR 97232, Portland, OR, USJoin Pro-Animal Oregon for a Postcard Pizza Party at Boxcar, an all-vegan pizza spot. We’ll grab a slice, share quick campaign updates, and write postcards together.
With a full Portland City Council hearing coming up, now’s the time to show councilors there’s real community support for the proposed foie gras ban. Handwritten notes from constituents can make a difference, and every postcard helps.
No experience needed. We’ll have postcards, pens, sample messages, and friendly guidance if you want it. Drop in for any amount of time, write a few, and hang out. It’s also a great chance to join Pro-Animal Oregon and get more involved in the campaign.
