New Meetup: February's RAW SUNDAY SUPPER "Raise the Rent" POTLUCK & Bonus BLUEBERRIES!

Announcing a new Meetup for Viva La Vegan PORTLAND - Metro!

What: February's RAW SUNDAY SUPPER "Raise the Rent" POTLUCK & Bonus BLUEBERRIES!

When: Sunday, February 28,[masked]:30 PM

Kairos-Milwaukie UCC
4790 Logus Rd
Milwaukie, OR 97222

It's the Last Sunday of the Month again (came quickly in short February). Time for another Sunday Supper Potluck/Lets Pay The Rent Party Combo!

Hey Regulars & Visitors alike, we've had some Fabulous Feeds & Creative Chefs at Sunday Supper but our Giving Basket has gone a bit hungry for the funds to Pay Our Rent after the food expenses (Sunday Supper is quite the deal). So we've been experimenting with Last Sunday of the Month Potlucks. So far so very, very good. We have some creative chefs out there and the variety has been fun (and yummy!). Last month there was over 50 attendees and nearly as many dishes to try.

Bring a Raw Vegan Dish with plenty to share, plus a rent contribution of $5.00 for the basket. But don't stay away if you can't find a recipe to show off (simple can be just as yummy and welcome). If you're new or feeling too pressed just bring the usual donation of 10 to 20 dollars (or more if you are feeling especially generous) to see what new culinary talent we have in the community!

5:30 - dinner and sharing around the tables
6:30 to 7:00 (optional) - circle time, including story-discussion, and raw communion.

We are also trying to help facilitate some carpooling for those who are living car-free or just want to combine rides to save money and/or resources. If you need a ride or have an extra seat please respond in the RSVP or call. Thanks!

This week we'll also have the opportunity to pickup local organic frozen blueberries from a family farm at Sunday Supper for just $2 per pound. Hard to beat those prices. These are really yummy and great for winter smoothies (especially great for hiding added greens from the kids who are often too visual for their own good) and many other uses (maybe experiment with raw pancakes...). Just let us know in your RSVP how many pounds you want so we can let the farmer know how much to bring.

And if you haven't RSVP'd yet for Shanti Moon's Raw Indian Food Sunday Supper for February 21st, please do so now so we can plan the amounts needed to be sure there will be enough (since many raw foods on this level require advanced prep) without making so much we have to do two fund-raising potlucks to pay for the leftovers. :D

Thanks Everyone!
