New Meetup: End of Spring Break RAW SUNDAY SUPPER "Raise the Rent" POTLUCK!

Announcing a new Meetup for Viva La Vegan PORTLAND - Metro!

What: End of Spring Break RAW SUNDAY SUPPER "Raise the Rent" POTLUCK!

When: Sunday, March 28,[masked]:30 PM

Kairos-Milwaukie UCC
4790 Logus Rd
Milwaukie, OR 97222

It's the Last Sunday of the Month again. Time for another Sunday Supper Potluck/Lets Pay The Rent Party Combo!

Hey Regulars & Visitors alike, we've had some Fabulous Feeds & Creative Chefs at Sunday Supper but our Giving Basket has gone a bit hungry for the funds to Pay Our Rent after the food expenses (Sunday Supper is quite the deal). So we've been experimenting with Last Sunday of the Month Potlucks. So far so very, very good. We have some creative chefs out there and the variety has been fun (and yummy!). In January there was over 50 attendees and nearly as many dishes to try and February was also well attended with familiar as well as unique (but very tasty) bites.

Bring a Raw Vegan Dish with plenty to share, plus a rent contribution of $5.00 for the basket. But don't stay away if you can't find a recipe to show off (simple can be just as yummy and welcome). If you're new or feeling too pressed just bring the usual donation of 10 to 20 dollars (or more if you are feeling especially generous) to see what new culinary talent we have in the community!

We'll have plates, bowls, utensils for your use but you might want to bring a serving spoon or other appropriate server. You will be able to wash up the dish you brought the food on afterwards. Also bring a card/paper with the list of ingredients so those who are sensitive will be able to know which dishes are safe for them or that they need to avoid. If you are feeling especially generous copies of the recipe are also quite welcome. :)

5:30 - dinner and sharing around the tables
6:30 to 7:00 (optional) - circle time, including story-discussion, and raw communion.

We are also trying to help facilitate some carpooling for those who are living car-free or just want to combine rides to save money and/or resources. If you need a ride or have an extra seat please respond in the RSVP or call. Thanks!

Preview for next week includes an Easter Raw Feast. No mere Bunny food but it will include chocolate. :)
