Arts in the Park (The Woodlands Township Parks and Rec)

A Saturday afternoon market for artists and artisans. Very reasonable booth fees, tents, tables, and chairs also available for those needing them. Local musicians and a Kids' Zone offered. This year's theme is "Around the World". It's not too late to start thinking about fall shows! For more information and for vendor application forms go to:

This is a very small event because the group only has so many tents! If there were more vendors and artists it could be very popular and keep more people in the woodlands that Saturday! Food trucks would be a big help...there is almost nothing to eat or drink aside from water and canned sodas. People have to leave and then don't come back. Perhaps scheduling a chili cookoff or BBQ for a non-profit would boost attndance.

Are tents provided or do you bring your own? What are the fees for showing art? Is oil painting allowed? only acrilics were were listed - no oils. Not much information provided here.

The website has more info. You can bring your own tent, etc or rent from them. I think the fee to rent a tent, chair, table and the space last spring was $45. And something like $15 if you bring everything. All media...and crafts...are allowed as long as they are not mass produced. I bought a mixed media mini and a set of stone coasters, and traded an ATC. This is still building so it isn't a big show but it was fun. They hold one in the spring and one in the fall in the field by the Lodge building.
