Although the employment outlook is brighter than it was 3 years ago, many people still have been unemployed or underemployed for extended periods of time. Long term unemployment is a financial and emotional burden that causes many to give up hope. The federal government says one of the factors that is bringing unemployment numbers down is that nearly 400,000 people simply have given up looking for work.

This month's meeting we will share our frustrations that come with long term unemployment, but more importantly we will discuss strategies to break the slump and renew your search with confidence.

Topic Covered Will Include:

-Troubleshooting your search.

-Diagnosing interview skills.

-How to rebuild your confidence.

-Uncovering opportunities that aren't on your radar.

-Turning a survival job into a career.

-Quit playing defense and go on the offense.

-Marketing & messaging.

-Filling the Gap.

There's no question long term unemployment can be disheartening, but there is always hope when you have a plan.
