Night Owl Walk (FULL - RSVP Required)

RSVP REQUIRED: walk is full as of January 5, 2012. Well, let's try again for owls! I closed this Meetup to new RSVPs as there are already 20 people signed up between Meetup and Wake Audubon Society (via email and phone calls).

We will look/listen for great horned owls at Durant Nature Park. Meet: 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2012. Enjoy a two-hour evening stroll as we listen and look for owls (barred, great horned, screech) and other night creatures. Come to the north entrance down a dirt road. There is an automatic gate that will let you OUT after dark (if you are late you might not be able to get in!)

Bring a flashlight, preferably with red plastic taped over the lens (I have some extra red plastic and tape).
Dress warmly. The walk lasts about two hours; we will also be standing quietly, listening for owls. Walk will probably be about a mile on trails. There is no rain/ice date; call me if the weather is iffy.
