Hello and thank you for visiting this group's site.
I have been looking for a Waldorf based playgroup and want to bring like minded families together. I am a Stay at Home-Mom and went to a Waldorfschool myself.
I will be happy to share and pass on the experience. The benefits of the education I enjoyed, plays a major role now, in how I parent my daughter. Who else is interested to form a whole hearted playgroup and to discuss parenting in today’s racing world? I would love to meet in Park’s to enjoy nature together but also in our Homes and experience a sense of community for the kids. Maybe we will do picnics and show our kids how to best enjoy the outdoors. I am open for suggestions. Just email me, ok? Thanks so much for considering becoming part of this group. Here is an explanation abot Waldorf and early childhood. See you soon, Melina
What makes Waldorf early childhood education “Waldorf”?
Rudolf Steiner spoke on a number of occasions about the experiences that are essential for the healthy development of the young child. These include: • love and warmth • an environment that nourishes the senses • creative and artistic experiences • meaningful adult activity to be imitated • free, imaginative play • protection of the forces of childhood • gratitude, reverence, and wonder • joy, humor, and happiness • adult caregivers pursuing a path of inner development Love and Warmth Children who live in an atmosphere of love and warmth, and who have around them truly good examples to imitate, are living in their proper element. —
