This year’s theme is “Fallout From The Bailout: A New Day in Washington.” Launched on Dr. King's birthday, The Wall Street Project was established to assure equal opportunity for minority employees, consumers, and entrepreneurs. Our organization has served as a catalyst for aggressive change in the areas of procurement, employment, corporate board diversity and access to capital. The summit will convene at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, 811 Seventh Avenue at 52nd Street, New York, NY 10019.
We are happy to announce that FDIC Chairwoman Sheila Bair has confirmed as the keynote speaker at the opening breakfast on January 14. We are expecting a tremendous international plenary. We will close out the summit on Friday, January 16th, with Joseph Saunders, CEO and Chairman Visa.
In addition, we will be partnering again this year with the New York Times to offer a major diversity career fair, to help address the increasing number of our colleagues whom have been laid off as a result of the economic crisis which is occurring in our country. Please visit our economic summit website at; www.wallstreetproject2009.org/aboutWSPSummit.html, or call our offices at 212-425-7874.
