HUMANS VS. ZOMBIES

It's finally spring! The flowers are blooming, creeks are gurgling, bees are buzzing. Life is coming back from its winter hibernation - squirrels, bees, and yes, even other humans and their faithful animal companions. It's beautiful. You and a bunch of your friends decide to head to a nearby park to enjoy the weather.

Isn't going to be the only thing waking up this spring.

[JD2456008.309977] Incoming Transmission: We have received reports of strange activity coming from Oak Hill Cemetery, nearby Montrose Park in Washington D.C. Reconnaissance teams have been dispatched.

[JD2456050.938194] Incoming Transmission: Weeks later and still no response from a single reconnaissance team. Aerial surveillance does not reveal any additional information as to the location of our teams, but it would appear that civilians are still frequenting the park.

[JD2456051.861933] Incoming Transmission: We have received a distress beacon from one of our reconnaissance teams. The signal appears to be coming from Fort Reno Park. Recovery teams have been dispatched.

What should I bring?

Costumes: Zombie costumes are encouraged, especially if you want to be the "Original Zombie" or a special zombie (rules may be modified to incorporate amazing costumes).
Weapons: Weaponry is a must-have if you expect to survive, but please limit to Nerf guns with soft ammunition and rolled-up socks. If you don't already have a Nerf gun, rolled-up socks are a great alternative. Bring as much as you can carry, but remember that you'll be expected to clean up after yourself and take home what you bring. If you have extra guns, please bring them to share with players who don't have one. If you borrow a gun, please take care of it, and return it when you're done! Modified nerf guns are allowed, but we will be testing the gun on the person who brings it.
Misc: Water, snacks, flashlight, attire suitable for running. Temperatures will be in the high 90's.

Getting There

Metro: Take the Red Line to the Tenleytown Metro Station stop. On exiting the metro station, head east on Albemarle Street, and then turn North at 40th Street NorthWest.

Car: There is an abundance of street parking. There is also parking in the park itself (for the nearby middle school), but you may not be allowed to park there.
