Breaking into the JEWISH Special Events Business!

Milestones Special Events Networking and Washington Event Network are partnering to bring you more great networking experiences and seminars!

The Bar/Bat Mitzvah and wedding are the most important life cycle events within the Jewish community. These milestones share many similarities with other special events, but there are a number of important differences that industry professionals should be aware of.

Join Mona and Jay from Milestone Media Group as they discuss some basics that may lead to booking your first Jewish event or increasing your Jewish special events business.

For those who would like to stay, you are invited to learn how to set up and take down a Chuppah or Jewish Wedding Canopy.  Charm City Chuppahs is expanding its operations and needs qualified trained team members to service local weddings on an as needed basis. Participants will be trained to become part of the "Charm City Chuppah Team".

Mona and Jay Freedman, of Milestone Media Group, have been involved in the Jewish special events industry since 1999. They publish Milestones Party and Event Planning Guide, produce Milestones Party Planning Expos, Charm City Brides and Grooms Expo, run the Jewish Business Connection and Milestones Special Events Networking meetings, own Charm City Chuppahs and host, the busiest Jewish special events website in the world.

I had an awesome time! Everyone who came was so receptive to learning about Jewish Special Events or adding their own input and expertise. The meeting was very relaxed and friendly. I look forward to doing it again with Dave, who is a dear friend and great partner!

Jay and Mona really know they're stuff. I especially appreciated the time Jay took to discuss the actual service. Too often that aspect gets little or no attention. My only comment would be that a planner can gently steer families away from inappropriate themes. The one that comes to mind was a 'Shopping' theme where every table had a giant credit card from a different department store. It reflects very poorly on the family and on the planner, too. Remember, attendees don't know who came up with the theme.

Great meeting. Jay and Mona are cheerful, wonderful hosts, and put their heart and soul into what they do. As always, Dave, thanks for a great opportunity to meet other like-minded professionals. The chuppah training was a blast :)

Hi, My name is Cheryl and I am a graphic designer whose products are social stationery and accessories. I would like to know what is the best way to let event planners and others know about my services and how can I be a referral source for invitations?
