Hello everyone, here is the March Update. Its a bit early because there were questions about the D&D Experience and DC Gameday. Enjoy!

1)The March RPGala-The RPGala has been moved from the 23rd to the 16th due to the Easter holiday. It is now Sunday, March 16th 12:45-5:00 pm. Games this time include 2 D&D 3.5 games, Exalted, Werewolf, Street Fighter, Don't Rest Your Head, and Champions. This list is not set in stone and may change over the next few days. I will send out a list of the games with descriptions by this Sunday. The event will be catered again and the same deal: 2 dollars for food. RSVP here: March RPGala

2)The Steering Committee Meeting-Friday, March 7th all are invited to attend a dinner to discuss our little group and where to go from here. This is for ALL parties who have any interest in the success of our group. If you have any opinions, if you want to be heard, now is your best chance. Praise, complaints, ideas, etc... I don't care, just come out and let people know what you think could be done to improve the DC RPG group and the RPGala. We will lay out our plans for 2008. You have until this Sunday to RSVP. The restaurant has yet to be chosen but it will be in either Arlington or DC, affordable, and right by a metro stop. If anyone would like to suggest a restaurant, let me know. More details and RSVP here: Dinner

3)D&D Experience-The D&D Experience is happening this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is a D&D convention at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. There are guest speakers, D&D 3.5 games, miniatures, and the unveiling of 4th Edition. It appears the 4th Edition games are already full. If you are going, please contact me ASAP! I am trying to clear my schedule and be there Friday during the day. More info is here: D&D Experience

4)DC Gameday II-DC Gameday is an all day gaming event in, well, DC. It is on Saturday, March 15th (Day before March RPGala). It is sponsored by ENWorld. There are 2 sessions: 9:30- 2pm and 3pm-7:30pm. Games so far include Hollow Earth, Savage Worlds, Spirit of the Century, Mutants and Masterminds, Star Wars, and others. Please note this is NOT a public event! You must register at the ENWorld Forums. Then you can sign up for games. I believe they are still looking for GMs as well, so if interested in running a game, just ask. Click for the ENWorld Forums: ENWorld and the main site: DC Gameday. If you are going to attend this event, please contact me ASAP!!

5)Battlestar Galactica-thon-Saturday, March 29th, in Alexandria, from 12pm till whenever! (Because we're crazy like that! W00t!)We will screen episodes of the greatest sci-fi show in history: Battlestar Galactica. If you have never seen this show: 1)Ritually scar yourself in shame. 2)Attend this event. Get caught up for the final season! There will be food, soda, and liquor (Including the drinking game 'Frak YOU!'). Come when you want, leave when you want. RSVP and more info here: Battlestar

6)Roleplayer's Ball-I believe this has been cancelled and will be rescheduled in April.

7)The Dude Abides- "We believe in nothing Lebowski! Nothing!" That is except for the Dude and all he stands for. This Saturday some of us are going to see The Big Lebowski at the AFI Theatre in Silver Spring, MD. If like, ya know, you're down with that sort of... thing... man, then RSVP here: The Dude Abides

I think that covers it. Excelsior!

Steve
