Below are descriptions for this month's games. The popular games of Risus and Fudge return from last month.
You know you want to attend. The economy is in ruins and that fat elf molester Santa needs a 50 billion dollar bailout for investing in supposedly low risk sub-prime securities. Nevermind his business model sucks and the unions are crushing him with unwieldy contracts and ridiculous pension obligations. You need something fun AND free where you can get to kill things! Yes, its the RPGala!
PLEASE remember to list your top 3 choices of games you'd like to play in your RSVP response. Also remember to respond FOOD:YES or FOOD:NO. Thanks!

Oh Yeah, happy Thanksgiving!Buffy the Vampire Slayer/GM-Tanya/Type-One Shot/Up to 6 players
Vampires, demons and werewolves, oh my! Every morning, a resident of Clarksburg is found murdered. What in the Buffy-verse is going on? Can you patrol at night and still make your 8am English 101 class? A post-season 7 episode set in the Buffy world.4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons/GM-Farzad/Type-One Shot/3-6 Players
A one-shot adventure designed to introduce the 'new' 4th edition of D&D to folks and gauge their reactions to an ongoing campaign set in the default world or Faerun. Characters will be provided but if you have a great character concept I would love to see you play it. Risus/GM-Marc/Type-Campaign/6 players
Fate's Path is a campaign I'm looking to start using a homebrewed variant of Risus; I am not running a comedy game, but one where the mechanics are less important than the story and action. I have several adventures pre-written which should allow the game to run for some time. Rather than trying to artificially bring a new group together I?m leaving it to the players to decide why their characters joined the quest to bring Gron, the black mage of Lorkana to justice...
Late in fall as the last of the leaves finally give up their struggle, the north wind brings the first touches of snow to the barren mountains around the mining town of Rannance. On the winding path leading to this remote place, a group of travellers race against the storm towards the comfort of the Pesky Dwarf Inn. Struggling against the wind their grim faces suggest that the warm taproom and fine ale are not their only reason for this journey into the mountains. Gron, the black mage of Lorkana escaped justice when his dark designs were foiled, but this time there is nowhere to run and he will have had little time to prepare, this time he will be held to account for the slaughter at Baginish. In each mind the mangled corpses of the slain are like fresh wounds and the need for retribution heats their blood. As the path descends the town appears, nestled into the slope and out of the wind, though weary the travellers pace quickens and they hurry towards the welcome warmth and a nights rest before the hunt begins...Fables (Fudge Derivative)/GM-Will/Type-One Shot/6 players
Did you ever feel as if your gamemaster was trying to shove you in a box? Do you feel as if creativity is sometimes penalized when it should be rewarded?
If so, you might enjoy a rules-lite, story-heavy, character-driven game inspired by the best FUDGE and Spirit of the Century. In this game, players will be presented with a baseline scenario and then players will be asked to supply a few simple story elements. Only the GM will know these story elements and he will make every effort to work them into the game. Dream up something wild!
You'll be able to go any direction you want and do anything you want. I can guarantee that the game will not require you to read or learn a new set of rules. The game will involve simple mechanics and easy to understand concepts. The game will hinge on your ability to overcome the odds using your character's unique abilities and strengths. Last time we played a Greek fantasy type with a feel like Clash of the Titans only hokier (as if that was possible) and more exciting (as if that wasn't possible). This time, I may favor something modern or sci-fi. GURPS Flight 13/GM-Joe/Type-One Shot/6 players
Actual description to be sent out soon. My possibly not so accurate description: Flying sucks. Hard. We all know it. Its torture and we fork out a ton of money to have a crummy time, get treated like garbage, and get infected with germs from scabrous degenerates all over the globe. Now add Rod Sterling and the Twilight Zone. Its scary. Real scary. Way worse than getting the seat next to the rear bathroom and getting sprayed with foul toilet flush spew every time someone dumps. Way worse than a Saturday red eye flight back from Las Vegas stuck in between a drunkard with dry heaves and his girlfriend who has the worst pungent stench machine gun farts after bad mexican food at Excalibur. You're gonna need a lot of those little alcohol bottles and you definitely picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue...
