Text Mining with Twitter and R

Details

This session will kick off our journey toward mining the social web with Twitter, a rich source of social data and a great starting point for social web mining because of its inherent openness. The talk will focus on many of the basics and terms used for the mining of text and will serve as a short introduction to Natural Language Processing.

Be prepared, this will be a hands-on session. You'll be getting your hands dirty and experiencing R analysis in action. Bring your laptop and R (install Rstudio (https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/) or install R directly).
