Water's Edge Writer's Meet-up Pages

The Water's Edge Writer's Meet-up is geared to serving the needs of writers East of Cleveland proper (by East of Cleveland proper, I am referring to Eastern Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties).

Our meetings are generally held the fourth Wednesday, of the month from 6-8 p.m. at the Community Room of Kirtland Public Library, 9267 Chillicothe Road in Kirtland. Meetings are monthly January through October. We normally announce the place for the November-December meeting at a time about half-way between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The library is a few minutes South of Lakeland Community College (I-90 and Rt. 306). You should bring your own non-alcoholic libation (this is a library), and I will bring some chips and pretzels and such.

All genres are welcome! We will be sharing information about fiction, non-fiction, poetry, getting published, and any other issues or concerns you may have regarding your writing projects. This is not a workshop, a how-to, or a dedicated critique group. It is a group of writers gathering, discussing, and helping each other resolve problems in their work, no matter whether they be a rank beginner or a published author. Drag yourself away from that computer and mingle with like-minded writers. Then go back to your work with a new perspective!

Please remember that there is nothing stopping anyone from starting their own more local group if they so choose. It is very simple, but I will caution you that starting a Meet-up group is not free. The person starting the group is on the $-hook for the privilege of having their group on the Meet-up network. Anyone can do it, so if our group does not fulfill your needs, there are others in the area or you can start your own!
