Testing is all about communication. On a daily basis we need to understand what people are asking for, put across our point of view, and navigate difficult conversations. How can we improve in these areas?

Wil McLellan has over 15 years experience in IT and Sales also presented at TEDx Christchurch on EPIC, the innovation hub that he and others created after the 2011 earthquake. He will speak about communication lessons he's learnt that have helped to produce better results.

Will there be food and drink?

Yes. This workshop is free of charge thanks to sponsorship from Assurity and includes pizza, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.

What time does it finish?

Doors open from 5.30pm. We start promptly at 5.45pm and end at 8pm with a break for pizza.

How do I attend?

RSVP for the event. Numbers are limited to the first 22 participants, but if you're keen please add yourself to the waiting list. If any spaces become available, all wait-listed are emailed and the first to RSVP will get the spot.

Testers of all experience levels welcome.

I'm so unlucky that these meetups happen in mid week and not on Thu's or Fri's. And again I miss the chance to learn something new :( I hope my luck favors me next time and I get the opportunity to attend one of these again :)

Thanks Shirley, for acknowledging my thought. As I am student and have classes on Tue's n Wed's so its difficult for me to attend these informative events. I really appreciate your efforts and hope to see you soon :)

Any informative pieces of electronic media that result from this meetup would really be appreciated by those of us who can't attend!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
