WeTest Workshop - Regression Obsession

  • Apr 18, 2013 · 5:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We're very excited to announce that Michael Bolton, international test superstar, will be presenting at our fourth WeTest Workshop on the topic of 'Regression Obsession'.

This workshop will use the same format as previously. Attendees will be encouraged to discuss, question, challenge and share ideas on this topic. Participation is expected, so come prepared to contribute!

This workshop is free of charge thanks to sponsorship from Assurity and includes pizza, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Please arrive by 5:30pm for a 5:45pm start.

How to RSVP

Rather than fastest-finger-first to fill this workshop, we've decided to moderate attendees. To register your interest, please RSVP for the waiting list with a paragraph response to the questions "How do you approach regression testing in your organisation? What are your thoughts on the regression testing that you do?". Two weeks prior to the event the organizers will select 25 participants based on these responses. We hope to have a variety of attendees representing different organisations and experience levels, so please do request a place if you're keen to join us.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the venue more than the old one, even with the alarming amount of noise pollution?

Great meetup! Thanks very much to Katrina, Aaron and Assurity for making it happen. We were asked to provide feedback on the venue - I thought it was a nice venue, but slightly too small for the number in attendance. The previous venue seemed more suited to the meetup however there were also a fair few less people (18-ish vs 24ish) in the room. All things considered it was a small price to pay for such an informative and enjoyable night!

Great discussion and going to have some discussions at work today I think as well.

As for the venue the horse shoe was a little too long hard to see everyone. The other place had a wider horse shoe and was easier to see everyone. Also the bar noise/music was a little distracting especially when trying to listen to someone at the other end of the room.

"Looking forward to the next one" probably says all you need to know.

Apologies, I am entertaining guests from out of town and will be unable to attend.

We currently do not have a structured testing framework but we are looking to release a formal testing policy to cover the web which includes regression testing. Our current regression testing is already implementing some of the testing policy.

Having recently joined my organisation I am in the happy position of helping create a regression testing framework and hope to use test automation to make my life easier :)

No responses to the 2 questions as I am there to learn more about the different approaches to regression testing.
