Meetup #5 - UnaliWear: “OnStar for People” & A $110,000 Crowdfund Campaign!

Hello Wearable Techies!

Our next Meetup will be held on Thursday, June 11th at the beautiful new Under Armour Connected Fitness Offices at the Seaholm Development, and will feature Austin's very own UnaliWear (http://unaliwear.com/). See the full agenda below. Hope you can join us!

*Parking instructions: We unfortunately cannot offer paid parking for this event. There is a garage available at the address provided, as well as street parking. Each attendee is responsible for their own parking. The Under Armour office is located above the Trade Joe's.

• 6:30pm - 6:45pm: Welcome and opening remarks.

• 6:45pm - 7:10pm: Jean Anne Booth, CEO/Co-Founder of UnaliWear.

• 7:10pm - 7:30pm: 5x5 Sessions :

1. Luis Rincon - Update on Wearables.com -> reviews and giveaways.

2. Elliott Chenger - A first-hand run down of what went down at Google I/O including Project Jacquard the new Google smart fabric for smart clothing.

3. Nick Hahn - Austin Spark League (http://www.austinsparkleague.com/) Intro: a technology-focused youth education program (with some cool wearables involved!)

About Jean Anne Booth:

A serial entrepreneur, Jean Anne started UnaliWear after selling previous startups to Texas Instruments and Apple.

Jean Anne was the founder of Luminary Micro, the creators of the Stellaris microcontroller platform and the first to market with ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontroller solutions. Luminary Micro was purchased by Texas Instruments in May 2009, and was one of the top VC-backed M&As of 2009. Jean Anne retired from TI in 2012 after serving as the general manager for TI’s Stellaris family of products.

Jean Anne was also a founder at Intrinsity, the creators of the graphics chip in Apple iPad products. Intrinsity sold to Apple in 2010.

Jean Anne holds a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MSCE from National Technical University.
