Excellent topic and information. Presentation could have been organized a bit more clearly, but otherwise well worth the time.

    Erin,
yes there are ways to add Google Analytics tracking code to a site made with Drupal. As it is a template based system added once it spread all across the site no matter how many pages you have.

In any case there is a better way to do it with a module, check http://drupal.org/project/google_analytics

    Cheers

I will definitely keep coming to this meet-up. Great group and knowledgeable presenters. It was suggested I post this question publicly for the benefit of all: Is there an efficient way or tool that enables GA code installation across 100's of website pages at once? I'm looking for an alternative to doing each page by hand. The website is being created in Drupal. Many thanks.

And on top of the informative presentation and great q & a, organizing swag and refreshments was a really nice gesture. Thanks.

Thanks to all who attended - the most important appreciation goes to you - it is your participation and damn good questions that make the presentation lively and interesting.

I'm one of the only members who attended the meetup but haven't thanked Ani for his excellent presentation.
Thanks very much Ani - you are not an SEO Guru - you are truly an SEO EXPERT

Great presentation Ani and Brian. I liked Ani's messages - the "right" kind of traffic, conversion and revenue over rankings, develop a quality link acquisition strategy.

I asked about this in my first week of class (Web Analytics at Langara this fall), and I have to say a big thanks to Brian for putting together this forum. And Ani for presenting the SEO.

This forum pulls everything all together nicely and now makes more sense on how the reports and SEO work together and vice versa. And to the other attendees who asked the questions which I was too afraid too asked!

Image SEO was totally out of my focus. I am going to think about it more from now.

Many thanks Brian for putting together this event. I think Ani's strategy of tracking branded and non-branded terms separately is a key factor for increasing the relevancy of those coming to a site. Looking forward to more meet-ups!

Thanks Brain for organizing and Ani for great presentation!

Here's the links for two tools that I find handy for SEO.

http://www.google.com/webmasters/- open an account & verify your site. Helpful data in your account as for your health of your site and gives you ideas on how to generate more traffic (data can include: duplicate titles, load time, keywords, inbound links)

SEOMOZ.org - great tool if you need to dig in more on an ongoing basis. Paid but you can use some tools for free.

Just found out that a delivery might only get here after 6:00 pm, and I have to be here to receive it. If it does come in earlier, I'll certainly be there. Really did not want to miss this...
