August: Design Hack-a-thon

Have a special trick to show? This will be peer-to-peer coaching in whatever graphical imagery, layout, animation, can be reasonably be shown. We will self-organize as necessary to show and tell with whatever tools we bring. For those of you with laptops and skill -- please bring both. The following is based on feedback. I'll update it as more feedback comes in...
- use jquery

About the Location

Panera has WiFi access, deep pots of coffee, and plenty of room. Please be polite to the staff and mindful of other customers. We do need to vacate by 9pm so the staff can close up!

The location info has a link to work around problems with Google and Yahoo Maps. The address on the embedded map was tweaked to get the Yahoo link to point to the geographical vicinity. Mitch made a better map on MapBuilder: Map Builder Map of Panera Bread

The format of the meeting turned into three mini-presentations: Michael Kimsal on Firebug for debugging (note use of FirePHP too); Mitch Amiano on Inkscape and the Atramentum exporting extension; and Victor Apointe on JQuery. It wasn't exactly rapid-fire but a lot was packed into the meeting.
