Notice: The attendance fee is charged at the door. This fee covers miscellaneous expenses related to running the group - not the workshop itself. It is a great room for us to use, and I hope everyone will chip in.

This workshop comes in the form of a classroom where you can learn web development from grounds up. I want to volunteer my experience of over 15 years of web development with a focus on the marketable disciplines so you can use everything that you learn here in the real world.

Cross browser development is the process of developing your web sites and applications in such a way that they will work the same across all browsers. This is a crucial part to a site if it is to be successful. We will not cover mobile browsers.

Notes
This particular workshop will re-visit our knowledge of CSS and apply a hand-on approach to where we will all get an opportunity to code our very first webpage. Our exercises will be to position elements, alter aesthetics of such elements, and introduce basic CSS driven interaction. Please, bring your laptops.

I'm targeting an audience who wants to learn how to develop websites, web applications, and other web based technologies from grounds up. I'm going to volunteer my time and teach terminology, various techniques, show shortcuts, and clarify areas of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - the three key ingredients to every front-end developer. My specialty is in the LAMP stack (for those who know what it means) so I can also tie in back-end aspects of web development.

The goal of these workshops is to speed up your development as a web developer. What would normally take you several years, we will try to speed it up in an in-depth crash-course. The idea is to mold you into a web developer who can go out and find good paying jobs.

This is a weekly workshop and the skill level of the attendees will dictate the density of the material.

I encourage everyone to come, even if you are a seasoned web developer and you want to have a hands-on impact on the open source community by volunteering your time to mentor, assist, and supplement the material to other attendees, this is your opportunity to do so.

Tell your friends to join this meetup so we can grow and enjoy learning everything about Web Development.

I would recommend to stick around for at least one hour, but our energy usually is pretty positive. So bring your enthusiasm and join us :) I will make an effort to limit our meetups to no more than two hours.

Please RSVP so we can make this into a recurring event and be something we all look forward to.

Bring your laptops, will to learn, open mind. WiFi will be provided at no cost.

My cell is (862) 266 3311 and feel free to e-mail me at milan.adamovsky@gmail.com

Even if you are not interested in Front-End, please show up nonetheless for the social aspect, networking, and influencing the direction our group will go. I want to hear everyone's suggestions, recommendations, and ideas of what technologies they would like to cover, learn about, etc. Come one, come all.

Look forward to seeing you soon!
