Dogwood Canyon is a fairly new Audubon park in Cedar Hill. I love the other parks in this area due to the terrain and wildlife. I want to go check out the trails and the visitors center. Anyone else interested?

PACE/DISTANCE: The pace and route will be determined by hikers in attendance. I believe that the trails here are fairly short and this will be more of an easy walking/talking/exploring pace than a hiking pace. I do expect that the trails will be hilly and rocky similar to Cedar Ridge Preserve. There is also a short paved section.

COST: $6 per person entrance fee ($4 age 60+)

WHAT TO BRING: At the minimum you need a small waist pack or camelbak with water. You are responsible for your own supplies. See this supply list (http://files.meetup.com/449410/Supply_list.html) for more info.

We often sit and visit for a little while after our hikes. Bring a snack and beverage for post hike refreshment.
