Thankful for the Grand Canyon!

I think of going to the Grand Canyon every time I visit Las Vegas, but always run out of time. I'm thinking the Thanksgiving weekend should give us enough time to get there and the site says Nov-Feb is best for avoiding crowds.
We are staying in the park to give us more time to explore. Fly or drive, it's your choice how you arrive. Drive time is approx. 11-12 hours (See Mapquest route HERE (http://mapq.st/metQPv) ). Grand Canyon is served by Flagstaff (80 miles) and Phoenix (200 miles) Airports. We will meet at the Kachina Lodge on Thursday, November 24 (time TBD once we know arrival times). The Kachina Lodge is located on the South Rim of the Canyon. Our rooms are in the adjoining Yuvapai Lodge. There will be a mixture of planned group activities and time on your own.
We will get together for dinner beforehand to get to know one another and talk about final details. Cost:
Quad Rooms - We have two rooms reserved. Total shared cost is $150.00 per person for three nights. Please note that like most hotels, they do not guarantee the availability of rollaway beds so we will be sharing. Payment - Payment in full is due upon RSVP. After this, your spot is yours. No cancellations or refunds are permitted. The event is setup to collect through Amazon payments, which carries a processing fee. If you would prefer to pay by cash/check, just let me know so I can add your RSVP and arrange to collect payment.
