Xanh Lounge and Restaurant has offered our groups of 500 people.

$5 appetizers, $5 well drinks

We would like to invite everyone to our first annual Jingle Mingle happy hour. This is a happy hour to meet people if you are single and available (“S&A”), to rekindle your love if you are in a relationship or to just hang out with friends and enjoy yourself. Yes, it is hard to help others in this economy where money is so tight and everyone is on a budget. No worries, we are not here to ask for donation. We are not here to ask for gifts. We are here to invite you to go hang out with us and have a fun night and raise money for battered women.

Every day someone is a victim of domestic violence. Unfortunately, most domestic violence cases are unreported due to fear, dependency on their abuser or the victim is not strong enough to fight back. Luckily, there are support groups out there for victims of domestic violence such as the Asian Women’s Home. This support group provides food and shelter for abused women of all ethnicity. They provide free counseling and transition programs to help the victims recover and move on with their lives. Friends, this is the time of year to look back at what you have accomplished during the year. Have you met your New Year’s goal of losing weight or finishing that project you’ve delayed for the past two years? Did you travel the world or save money for that special gift? Whatever it is that you have achieved or have not yet achieved, please remember how blessed you are to be able to set goals and work towards them. Unlike us, there are many unfortunate people out there who have no life goals. Their objective is to make it through each day with food and shelter. Their objective is to recover from their misfortune and get back on their feet again. Their objective is to reconnect with friends and family and have a normal life again. You never know who the next victim might be. It could be your neighbor, your best friend, sister, brother or even yourself.

We are also raising money by selling raffle tickets. Our goal is to raise at least $4,500 for the Asian Women's Home by selling raffle tickets and donations from the Xanh and your generosity.
