The game of building Rich Internet Application has significantly changed over the last few months. The role of the Flash Player is changing and the world seems to be finally moving to HTML5/JS/CSS for RIA development.
But how to even get started? Looking for the next steps after Flex, Flash or even after years of jQuery?
Sencha has desktop and mobile frameworks that can give you a smooth migration to HTML5 application development.
Ted Patrick (http://twitter.com/#!/ted), Sencha's Director of Development relations from San Francisco, will walk you through Sencha's frameworks for building mobile and desktop applications using web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
We will cover the frameworks' foundation (OOP+MVC), standard libraries, containers, components, xtype rendering and most importantly cross-browser support.
Bring an open mind and a laptop, we will be building applications from scratch; feel free to follow along.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This meetup is a HALF-DAY, HANDS-ON CODING and DESIGNING training starting at 2pm and finishing at 6pm.
Please be aware of that and bring a laptop with your preferred HTML/CSS/JS tooling - you'll have much more fun that way :)
