Thumbnailed - Natcoll Design School live design competition

"Thumbnailed" is an annual live design competition held at Natcoll Design School for their students.

4 students at a time are given an image and a word and have to create a design concept or a piece of artwork with their choice of tooling (usually Adobe Illustrator, Flash or Photoshop) and within 10 minutes!!!

All computers are connected to multiple projectors, there's a very entertaining live commentary on what the students are doing and it's a lot of fun to watch and cheer for individuals!

This event is the Wellington final event comprising of 2 semi-finals and the grand final and is probably not your usual meetup, but a very worthwhile, awesome lunch break with a twist :)

Update: Below are the prelim round images of three of the finalists that will participate on Thursday. All derived from an image of an olympic torch and the word "Life".
