Taste the Winners of the NZ Cheese Awards 2014 and Slurp a few Glasses of Vino

The NZ cheese awards are underway in Auckland this evening. We'd hate Wellington Foodies to miss out on this auspicious event so we are bringing the winners to Wellington for an evening of fun filled cheesiness.

Our host for the evening is Lucy Hoffman; cheese lover and author of My Life and Cheese..... www.lifeandcheese.com (http://www.lifeandcheese.com/) Lucy regularly travels all over the world on cheese pilgrimages and is very well regarded by the curdy community.

Lucy will take you through a tutored tasting of a selection of the winners and introduce you to the Cheesey Highway, a great way to experience wine and cheese together.

You’ll get to:

Nibble your way round a cheese plate matched with three delicious wines

Learn more about the language of cheese and how to put into words cheese’s unique flavours and odours!

We are also going to be joined by the faboulous Jules from MacVine International who will be sharing his hints on how to match wine and cheese.

Use and take away a cheat-sheet of cheesy vocabulary so you can describe cheese like an expert.

Learn secrets of great looking cheeseboards as well as the best ways to store cheese.

Best of all you’ll get to hang out with other cheese-lovers, eat delicious cheese and sip some lovely wine. I hope you’ll join us.

The price for this cheesy evening is $50pp and includes a mountain of cheese and vino. Deadline for payment for this class is Wednesday the 12th of March. If we haven’t received your payment by this date you’ll be removed from the attendance list and your place will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
